Nora Hyde

Eleanora (Nora) Hyde is a Baltimore-based filmmaker and creative explorer. Originally an actor, she earned her BFA Acting degree from Emerson College and then continued studies with T. Schreiber Studio, Sean Folster Studio, and Larry Moss. Nora started teaching what she had learned after participating in The Belgrade International Workshop ChekhovFest in 2019 through a group she created called “Restorative Ensemble Playground”.

Her pivotal transition behind the camera began with Reelarc Productions in NYC where she learned how to create beautiful, high-quality images that tell a story. Directing in NYC was an absolute dream job but after pandemic her priorities changed; being close to family became more important than making money pursuing the dream. Nora’s love of the craft never stopped and now she has even more freedom to pursue passion projects.

As a filmmaker, she gravitates towards narrative work and aims to bring the same passion for visual storytelling to portraits and commercial work with product photography. Paired with a cinematic style and directing experience, one of her strengths is seeing the beauty in the subject and putting them in their best light. To her the best compliment is when someone says “you captured ME and I can’t believe how beautiful I am!” Nora truly believes that everyone deserves to see themselves in their favorite outfit, glowing with good light, and rocking outward confidence.
